These terms explain what AIDA is, what you can expect from us, and what we expect from you. They apply every time you use myaida.app, whether you have an account or not. If you do not agree with them, please stop using the site.
1. Who we are
AIDA is an online hub for people living with autoimmune conditions. We publish information, and we connect people with independent practitioners who offer services through the site. In these terms, “AIDA”, “we” and “us” mean the operator of myaida.app; “you” means anyone using the site.
2. AIDA is a platform, not a healthcare provider
This is the most important thing on this page. AIDA does not provide medical care, diagnosis or treatment. We are a place where independent practitioners list what they offer and where people can find them.
- Practitioners listed on AIDA are independent. They are not our employees, agents or partners in a legal sense.
- Any contract for a service is between you and the practitioner, not between you and AIDA.
- We review every practitioner application by hand before publishing a profile, but that review is not a clinical endorsement, a guarantee of outcome, or a substitute for your own judgement.
- You are responsible for satisfying yourself that a practitioner is appropriately qualified, registered and insured for what you need. You can ask them directly, and we encourage you to.
3. Medical disclaimer
Everything published on AIDA — articles, service descriptions, practitioner profiles, community content — is general information, not medical advice. It is not tailored to you and it should never replace advice from a qualified healthcare professional who knows your history.
Always speak to your GP, consultant or another qualified clinician before changing medication, diet, exercise or any part of your treatment. Never delay seeking medical advice because of something you read here.
If you are having a medical emergency, call 999 (or your local emergency number) or go to A&E.
4. Your account
Creating an AIDA account is free. To use one you must be 18 or over and give us accurate information. You are responsible for keeping your password private and for anything that happens under your account. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has access to it.
You can delete your account at any time by contacting us. See our Privacy Policy for what happens to your data when you do.
5. If you are booking services
When you buy a service through AIDA:
- You are entering an agreement with the practitioner who lists it. Their own terms, cancellation policy and complaints process apply alongside these terms.
- Prices, availability and what is included are set by the practitioner. Some services are offered at a reduced price to people with an AIDA account.
- Payment is taken securely through our payment provider. We do not store your card details.
- Your statutory rights as a consumer are unaffected by anything on this page.
If something goes wrong with a service, contact the practitioner first. If you cannot resolve it, tell us — we cannot arbitrate clinical matters, but we can and do remove practitioners who do not meet our standards.
6. If you are a practitioner
By applying to list on AIDA you confirm that:
- You are appropriately qualified, registered with any relevant professional body, and insured for everything you offer, and you will provide evidence on request.
- Everything in your profile and listings is accurate and not misleading. You will not claim to cure, treat or prevent disease unless you are legally permitted to do so.
- You own the rights to any text, images or logos you upload, and you grant us a non-exclusive licence to display them on AIDA and in related promotion.
- You will deliver what you have advertised, respond to enquiries in reasonable time, and handle client information lawfully — including acting as an independent data controller for your own clients.
- You will keep your listings up to date and remove anything you can no longer deliver.
We may decline an application, ask for more information, or remove a listing or profile at any time — for example if content is inaccurate, if we receive credible complaints, or if a professional registration lapses. We will tell you why wherever we can.
AIDA takes a commission on services sold through the platform. The current rate is set out in your practitioner agreement.
7. Content you post
You keep ownership of anything you write or upload — articles, reviews, profile content. By posting it you give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display and share it as part of running and promoting AIDA.
Reviews must reflect a real experience. Do not post anything false, defamatory, discriminatory, or which identifies another person’s health information without their consent. We may edit or remove content that breaks these rules.
8. Our content
The AIDA name, logo, site design and everything we publish ourselves belong to us or our licensors. You may read, share and link to it, but please do not copy, republish or sell it without our written permission.
9. Acceptable use
Please do not use AIDA to: break the law; harass, abuse or impersonate anyone; scrape, copy or harvest data from the site; upload malicious code; interfere with the site’s operation or security; or advertise services outside the normal listing process.
10. Availability
We work hard to keep AIDA available, but we cannot promise it will never be interrupted. We may change, suspend or withdraw parts of the site, and we may update these terms — if we make a significant change we will say so on this page and update the date at the top.
11. Our liability
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
Subject to that, we are not liable for: the acts, omissions, advice or treatment of any practitioner; any decision you make based on information published on AIDA; loss of profit, business or data; or any indirect or consequential loss. Where we are liable, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid to AIDA (as opposed to a practitioner) in the twelve months before the claim.
12. Ending things
You can stop using AIDA and close your account whenever you like. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or where we are required to by law.
13. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, unless local consumer law in your country of residence says otherwise.
14. Contact
